Government Polytechnic for Women , Faridabad is one of the premier technical institution of Haryana .The Institute is situated at a distance of 30 Kms. from ISBT Delhi. It came into existence at the beautiful location with its ideal environment for education in Sector–8 of HUDA, Faridabad in August, 1999.The Institution was set up completely under World Bank Project with an approximated expenditure of Rs. 12.0 Crore. Its building is raised across the well spread green area over 11 acres of land and houses the beautiful Institution campus, the hostel and the residential colony.The institution building is well maintained and ventilated in its modern design and construction providing adequate space for necessary infrastructure and facilities with an in-house hygienic canteen. It is adorned by one of the best gardens in Faridabad appending the beauty of its serene environment making it conducive for learning (open gym).

Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad was established in 1995 with the guest classes at Govt. Polytechnic for Women,Sirsa.In the month of August 1999, the first batch of its incumbents were admitted to Government Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad in three disciplines: Computer Engineering ,Electronics & Comm. Engg. and Architectural Assistantship through the centralized State admissions.To keep pace with the market demand, further four more disciplines i.e. Fashion Design, Business Management,Civil Engg. and Mechanical Engineering were addedto widen the career scope of students in this region.As part of community development, the institute is running various short term courses under various schemes provided by the Government. The institution has produced consistent state board toppers and awards in sports adding to its glory and making it as first choice among girl aspirants.


Therefore, due to its effective planning and management for study in technical education system, it provides the ideal environment for the students to nurture that further help in their overall development.
